| 内容記述 | Successful reintegration back to home country is often key to breaking the cycle of work migration. Yet little is known about conditions and factors that facilitate migrant-returnees to achieve economic independence and reintegrate into their own societies. Using research findings on initiatives in Java to render work for former migrants in the food, and the agriculture, this article considers organizational factors behind the reintegration process. It shows how sustainable reintegration is a social process requiring not only the self-determination of former migrants but also organizational support from NGO activists. An arising question is on how successful local initiatives can pose lessons for wider migrant reintegration in Indonesia. | |||||||||||
