| 内容記述 | At Osaka Sangyo University, a Japanese essay writing textbook was developed for first-year engineering students. This textbook is leveled for Japanese language proficiency required of students majoring in engineering. It is structured on step-by-step accumulative training, while having fun during the process. Classes are conducted in an active learning format connecting personal experiences, through “activities” with peers and followed by “writing” about the experiences. This innovation made to the course design has resulted in less psychological resistance to writing. Also, a high degree of satisfaction with the lessons and textbook material was expressed, suggesting it may encourage students to study independently. | |||||||||||
