On the other hand, problems such as greenhouse effect gas emission, the disparity between regions or between persons, massive unemployment, and encroachment of human right, are taking on critical dimensions. In order to resolve these problems, enterprises have to be the entities contributing to society. Here lies the nexus for contact between CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and society. This article views the transformation of the concept of CSR in the process of changes in the relationship between enterprises and society. This is preceded by a brief presentation of CSR based on the economic thought of Karl Polanyi.
