In case of a truck passing a passenger car like a sedan, a hatchback or a minivan type vehicle, measurements of the aerodynamic drag, side force and yawing moment were performed by a wind tunnel. From the result of the measurements and numerical simulations, the following conclusions became clear. As for a side-force, the force acted in the direction which pushed out the passenger car outside from the truck as the truck approached the passenger car. As the truck caught up with the passenger car, the direction of the side-force became reverse. When the front of the truck reached at the front of the passenger car, the side-force which pushed the passenger car to the truck became maximum.
