Concerning detection of bogie abnormality, the air spring puncture condition, the abnormal condition of the shaft damper and derailment detection have been studied extensively. However, research is difficult for detection abnormalities caused by the cracking of a bogie side girder in an actual car. We carried out an experiment by inserting a crack in a side beam part of a model truck instead of an actual car.
