The Social Welfare Council, needing to address the crisis of weakening neighborhood associations, promoted a “rebuilding connections” project. It requested the Citizens’ Co-op to implement mobile sales for community residents. The Co-op responded by organizing a mobile service and has seen a great degree of success. The service provides many benefits locally and by doing so has rebuilt community connections.
