In the investigation after the Kobe Earthquake, the shear failures and the tension failures had revealed. However, the still obscure point is left behind about the mechanical behaviors of such the impact failures. From such a viewpoint, in this study the experiments with the model tests on mechanical behaviors of piles due to impact up-down loadings were conducted.
