S. P. Tatlock と A. G. Kennedy による A Concordance to the Complete Works of Geoffrey Chaucer and to the ‘Romount of the Rose’ １）は A. W. Pollard のテキスト The Globe Edition ２）を基に作られた労作であるが，その後のテキスト編纂は時代と共に進展し，近年，最新のテキスト “The Riverside Chaucer”, based on The Works of Geoffrey Chaucer edited by F. N. Robinson ３）が出版され，そしてこれに基づく用語索引が相次いで刊行された。一つは大泉昭夫氏による A Complete Concordance to the\nWorks of Geoffrey Chaucer ４）であり，いま一つは Larry D.
