With the revision of the Model Employment Regulations in 2018 as part of the reform of work styles and the spread of telework through the COVID-19 pandemic, side work has begun to be promoted in Japan. However, it is difficult to say that there has been sufficient crossdisciplinary consideration of not only how side work affects individuals, but also how companies recruit side workers and how changes in company systems related to side work may affect company performance. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to present necessary future research issues on side jobs in Japan from the perspective of business administration and commerce. Through this study, we will present a blueprint for research on side work in Japan
to be conducted in a variety of fields. |
